What are your kids reading?
More frighteningly, what are they not reading?
My name is Chris Lowrey. I’m a mother to four children and step-mother to two. As I have watched my children grow and mature through the years, an alarming trend has developed. I see their video games, computers, their own TV but what was missing?
Books.
Now don’t get me wrong. I think video games and computers are fine in moderation. And of course there are books out there, but let's face it - many families simply cannot afford the quality of nurturing books they would like their children to be reading.
When the last generation grew up, we had comic books to read. While they may remain entertaining, they seem to have matured with our generation of readers and generally are no longer suitable for kids under 11. Not only that, but they now cost anywhere from $3 to $5 and up!
I thought about this. And when I couldn't find any high quality, low-cost books for children, there was only one thing to do: create something for them to read. And offer it for free.
Yes, for free.
The last thing parents need though is another financial burden, even if it is in the form of a book. So how could I create something engaging for children, but free to parents? Thus was born Classic Charm Publishing.
Classic Charm Publishing Inc. is proud to introduce new stories written specifically for children between the ages of 2 and 9.

Our first set of stories are about adorable animals that form the Dinky Donko Club. These stories are short, rhyming and intended to make children laugh. They are filled with humorous events in the everyday life of the "club."
The second set of stories are based on the main character Wonec. Wonec is unique to the children's book market. Wonec, using his Magic Trail, takes children on adventures in search of solutions to problems that exist in children's daily lives.
These stories are printed in magazines and distributed through local daycares and other retail outlets quarterly. They are FREE! Each magazine has selected several local Sponsors for joint participation. Each of these Sponsors offer specially priced services to the readers. The children must complete the related activity page. Once the page is completed the reader may tear off the accompanying coupon and bring it to the Sponsor for a special reward. Each reward varies depending upon Sponsor selection.
The thing is, in order to keep our magazine free, we need your help. We ask you to visit the sponsors of the magazine, armed with the coupons and special offers they have included.
If you are looking for the nearest distribution location or would like to have the magazine mailed directly to you (a small charge for shipping and handling will be charged), please feel free to contact us.
We truly hope you enjoy the stories. Our sincere goal is to add to your child's joy of reading.
Sincerely,
Chris Lowrey and the Classic Charm Team
